Small-business website check
Website QA checklist for small businesses
A short, deliberate review can catch the problems that make a finished website feel confusing or unreliable to a visitor.
Check the mobile layout
Open every important page at phone width. Look for clipped headings, overlapping buttons, unreadable menus, horizontal scrolling, and forms that are difficult to complete.
Test every important path
Follow navigation links, calls to action, contact links, downloads, and one safe test form flow. Do not use real payment details or submit sensitive information during testing.
Read for clarity
Each page should answer three questions quickly: what is offered, who it is for, and what the visitor should do next. Flag vague buttons and important information hidden below long introductions.
Check basic trust details
Confirm that the business name, contact route, relevant policies, and practical next steps are easy to find. Avoid claims that cannot be supported.
Record reproducible findings
For each issue, note the page, device size, what happened, how to reproduce it, its severity, and a practical suggested fix.
